About Diamonds

The consensus among many diamond dealers, jewelry stores AND consumers, is that diamonds are very expensive, very rare and rarely bought. The actual truth is that a pretty diamond shouldn't be a "once in a lifetime" purchase. Diamonds are not as expensive as one may think. Most of our inventory is comprised of the most beautiful and impressively affordable diamonds.

The only way to see the difference between a $10,000 one carat diamond and a $2000 one carat diamond is if you place both, one next to the other, on a surface. However, once the stone is set on a ring, or mounted in any piece of jewelry, the differences disappear. Our logic, as well as those of our very many happy customers is, that the $2000 one carat stone, if bought from the right source, is much more affordable for the value, and doesn't have to be a 'once in a lifetime' purchase.

Now, how about a $1000 one carat diamond? A $500 one carat diamond? Have you ever seen a one carat stone for that little? You probably haven't, and a funny thing, is that your local jeweler probably hasn't either known that it is possible to buy diamonds at those prices.

And how is that? How come the jeweler doesn't carry in his/her inventory a more affordable one carat diamond? There are a few reasons:

1. Very few people in the diamond industry deal in that kind of a diamond,
2. They are harder to find in the wholesale market,
3. The stones don't look quite as great as the $10,000 ones, AND most important,
4. They sell for much less money!!
